ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP
In 2016 Comfort Cases began awarding scholarships to support youth in foster care attending college. For the 2018-2019 school year, gracious supporters of Comfort Cases’ Scholarship Program have sponsored funding for two (2) scholarships of $5,000 each.Each scholarship will provide tuition assistance to two (2) graduating high school senior enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program in the fall 2018. According to the most recent research, less than 5% of youth in foster care graduate from college. Comfort Cases’ community is committed to changing that number. Education opens doors to better choices and opportunities, and every child deserves the chance for a brighter future.
Comfort Cases’ Scholarship Award Committee will evaluate each submission from applicants currently in foster care based on leadership skills/qualities, academic interests, and expressed need.
Applicant MUST be:
- A graduating high school senior
- Currently in foster care
- A resident of the United States
- Planning to attend a full- or part-time accredited undergraduate program in the fall of 2018.

The recipients of this year’s scholarship awards will be announced at our Annual Gala on Saturday, May 12th , 2018, at the Marriott Marquis in Washington, D.C. We invite the students awarded the scholarships to attend as our guests to be honored in person.
